Neymar: I want to stay at PSG

Neymar has expressed his desire to remain part of Paris Saint-Germain and his intention to return to the Champions League final as soon as possible.

PSG paid 222 million euros to bring Neymar to the Parc des Princes from Barcelona in the summer of 2017.

The Brazilian became one of the best footballers in the world during his time at the Camp Nou, but had difficulty meeting expectations in his first two seasons in France.

Injuries and disciplinary issues affected his appearances on the field initially. He tried to return to Barca last summer but his efforts and those of the Catalans failed and he remained in Paris.

Neymar scored 19 goals in 27 games in all competitions for PSG last season, donating 12 assists, helping Thomas Tuchel’s team win all the local titles in France and reach the Champions League final.

“I will stay at PSG next season. I will stay here with the aim of reaching the Champions League final again, but this time to win the trophy. I want to do everything to put my name in the history of this club.” said Neymar.
