Messi asks Neymar to go to Man City together

Lionel Messi is eager to play again alongside his former teammate Neymar, whom he is said to have called to join Manchester City with him.

Messi and Neymar spent an unforgettable five years together in Barcelona, winning many trophies – including the treble in 2015 – before the Brazilian left Camp Nou to join PSG in a world record deal, € 222 million, at summer of 2017.

And since Messi has now decided to leave Barcelona himself and join Pep Guardiola at Premier League giants City, he wants Neymar with him, according to ESPN.

The six-time Golden Ball winner has parted ways to leave after the embarrassment Bayern Munich caused Barcelona by beating them 8-2 in the Champions League this season.

Messi is very disappointed and dissatisfied with the club’s management and among the reasons is the Neymar case, which president Josep Maria Bartomeu had promised to return to Barca last summer.

Argentine media are convinced that City has prepared a fat three-year offer for Messi and the 33-year-old is ready to join Guardiola at the Etihad.

According to ESPN, the Argentine superstar called his close friend, Neymar, to ask him to join him in England.
