Zidane after Real Madrid’s victory against Inter: We have another battle in Italy

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is happy with his side’s 3-2 victory over Inter in the Champions League, but is aware that another difficult battle awaits him in the return match in Italy.

Real were winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos, but allowed Inter to get back into the game when Lautaro Martinez and Ivan Perisic equalized, however Rodrygo took advantage of another crucial mistake by the Blues and scored the winning goal.

“We won a difficult match against an Inter that scored two goals. This was a match exactly at the level of the Champions League, but in the end we found the third goal which is worth three points “, said Zidane.

“It was a final match for us but also for them, so I am happy with the result and with three very important points.” he added.

Group B remains fully open, as Borussia Monchengladbach beat Shakhtar 6-0 and took the lead with five points, leaving behind the Ukrainian and Real Madrid with four points each, while Inter remains last with only two points.

“It is very difficult for us in this group. Now we have to go to Italy, where it will be another real battle. Today it was important for us to score three points, so I am happy for the players who made great efforts against a very good team.” he underlined.
