Zidane: “Against Inter, the players must show that they deserve to wear the Real jersey”

Real Madrid announced this morning that Brazilian defender Eder Militao has been tested positive and consequently will not be available to the team for the match against Inter tomorrow in the Champions League.

In the usual press conference, coach Zinedine Zidane described as an important absence that of the Brazilian, but stressed that he expects his players to show themselves tomorrow on the field and get three points.

“Real Madrid is a club that always aims to triumph in the Champions League and tomorrow I expect the players to show why they wear the jersey of this team. We just have to worry about playing well and getting results, without focusing on other voices coming from outside the team.” said the Real coach.

Zinedine Zidane will face Antonio Conte, who had a friend and team captain at Juventus, while he admitted that when he started the journey to become a coach, he also went to attend the training sessions of the Italian.

“I have not talked to Conte lately, but at Juventus he has been very important as a team captain and it does not surprise me that he has achieved a lot as a coach. When I decided to start this path, I went to attend his sessions at Juventus and he impressed me with the way he worked. Inter has a very strong team physically, but it also knows how to play well with the ball, so a difficult confrontation awaits us tomorrow.”, said Zidane.

A few days ago it was said that Zidane’s future was “at risk”, but Real reacted well and won El Clasico against Barcelona at the “Camp Nou”. However the shadows of doubt are back again, as Real have only taken one point in two games in the Champions and if they lose to the Nerazzurri they will completely complicate the qualification.

“I do not think at all about my future. I always think positively, to prepare the match well and make a beautiful game, then the result will be shown on the field “, said the French coach.
