Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane believes that his team will be able to pass the group stage in the Champions League, after the 2: 2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday in Germany.
Real were losing by two goals until the 86th minute, when Karim Benzema and Casemiro scored in a space of six minutes to help their team avoid the second consecutive loss in Group B.
The Spanish giants have one point from two games and are last in the group, but Zidane has no doubts about his boys’ ability to qualify for the knockout stages.
“This result shows the character of this team. We deserved the draw and I think even more than that. I liked our reaction and this point is important.” said Zidane.
The Frenchman added: “There are no easy matches. If we play like this, then we will do good things and move on to the elimination phase directly.”
