Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes talented striker Erling Haaland would reach the level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 20-year-old of Dortmund has scored 17 goals in 14 Bundesliga games since being transferred from Red Bull Salzburg to the German team in January last year.
Haaland scored his first hat-trick with the Norwegian national team this week, in the match against Romania in the League of Nations
“I think Haaland is great.” Scholes said
“I think he would reach the level of Ronaldo and Messi.” added the Red Devils legend.
Haaland has scored six goals in his six appearances for the national team and will have the opportunity to further improve his record in this week’s match with Northern Ireland in Group A of the League of Nations.
Norway missed out on a chance to be part of EURO 2020 after being disqualified in the play-offs by Serbia last week.
