Inter wanted a swap deal with Chelsea that included two midfielders, Christian Eriksen and N’Golo Kante.
The Nerazzurri were looking for a defensive midfielder and coach Antonio Conte’s favorite was Chelsea’s Kante.
On the other hand, the executives also looked at the sale of some unnecessary players, such as Eriksen, who is not well found in the schemes of the coach.
According to Calciomercato medium, Inter tried to enter into an exchange deal involving Eriksen and Kante during the summer transfer window.
However, the Italian giant saw their proposal being rejected by Chelsea, with the Blues holding no interest in reaching such an agreement.
In the end, the two players remain in their current clubs even after the end of the summer transfer window.
