Juventus winger Douglas Costa has ruled out joining Manchester United in hopes of persuading coach Andrea Pirlo to keep him at the Allianz Stadium.
The Brazilian star has decided to fight for a place in Pirlo’s team, even though he is on the sales list of sports director Fabio Paratici to make way for purchases.
According to Calciomercato.com, United were ready to start talks with Juventus for the former Bayern Munich striker, but Costa has refused to move to Old Trafford.
United did not have a chance to convince the 30-year-old, who has made 31 appearances for Brazil, and consequently turned his attention to Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele.
Italian media writes that Costa hopes to convince new coach Pirlo that he deserves a place in the starting lineup of the whites for the 2020/21 season.
