Manchester City midfielder Rodri has said that football proved unfair to his team and that Leicester City did nothing to deserve the deep 5: 2 victory on Sunday in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola’s side lost 5-2, but three of Leicester’s five goals came from penalties, while Jamie Vardy scored the hat-trick.
This was the final result of the match, despite Guardiola’s team dominating the match by holding the ball and hitting the gate.
City had 16 shots on the gate, compared to just seven of Leicester.
“For me, they were lucky,” Rodri said after the match.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5, the 24-year-old added: “Football was not fair to us today. Maybe it’s our fault, maybe it’s their power – but it’s hard to explain.”
“We did a lot to win this match. In a match like this, where the opponent does nothing, it makes you feel confused. “
