Liverpool defeated the small team of Lincoln FC 2-7, thus passing to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. Manchester City also won, but with a result of 2-1.

Liverpool, although with a second team, has managed to show that it is a champion team, defeating the small Lincoln team 2-7.
The series of goals for Liverpool was started by Xherdan Shaqiri in the 9th minute, scoring a super goal from a free kick. Liverpool did not stop there in the first half as they will score 3 more goals. Takumi Minamino (18), Curtis Jones (32, 36) were the goals scored in the first half by Liverpool.
With the start of the second half Minamino would score again. Tayo Edun would have narrowed the lead to 1-5 but Marko Grujic would have scored the sixth goal in the 65th minute. The locals scored again in the 67th minute with Montsma and the final score was sealed by Divock Origi in the 89th minute.
Manchester City-AFC Bournemouth 2-1
Pep Guardiola’s youngsters went through more difficulties today in the Carabao Cup final by eliminating AFC Bournemouth.
Guardiola had chosen to include second team and academy players in this match, but they could very easily have been eliminated from this competition.
The first goal came from youngster Liam Delap in the 18th minute of the match, but Bournemouth would equalize in the 22nd minute with Sam Surridge.
Phil Foden’s goal in the 75th minute made City move to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, a trophy he has won in the last three seasons.
