Koeman: We in Barcelona respect the contracts, Suarez will be part of the team

Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has left the door open for Luis Suarez to return to the Catalan team, if his departure from the club is not achieved within this transitional period.

Koeman informed the Uruguayan striker immediately after he was appointed Barca coach that he is not part of his plans and that he had to find another team to play.

Suarez was close to moving to Juventus, but things got complicated and now his future is uncertain.

“I talked to Luis this morning.” Koeman said after Barcelona’s 3-1 win over Girona on Wednesday night.

“We will wait and see if he leaves or not. But we respect the contracts and I have said since the first day that, if he is part of the team, then he will be a plus player for us.”, underlined the Dutchman.
