Maurizio Sarri reportedly agreed to terminate his contract with Juventus amicably, releasing him to lead Fiorentina.
The coach was fired in August despite winning the Scudetto in his first season in charge of it and still has a contract with the Whites.
He had initially refused to negotiate a break-up with a bilateral agreement, forcing Juventus to pay his salary.
According to Tuttosport and Sky Sport Italia, there have been intense talks today and yesterday and the breakup is soon expected to become official.
The Turin-based newspaper has written that Sarri will receive six million from Juventus owed to him from the 2020-21 season, but he will not receive 2.5 million euros for the third season.
In return, Sarri will be allowed to lead a team and Fiorentina are interested in his services.
Beppe Iachini is expected to be fired due to poor performances, so Sarri is seen as an ideal replacement for him, having grown up close to Florence.
He was born in Naples but his father had worked where he had moved to Tuscany as a child.
