Shakhtar Donetsk coach Luis Castro has criticized Real Madrid for selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus in 2018, saying that when you have Ronaldo on the team you should never let him go.

After nine years full of records in the Spanish capital, the Portuguese was ready for a new challenge in Italy.
Real Madrid has consistently found it difficult to fill the gap left by the Portuguese and is still looking for a worthy striker, with Eden Hazard still unable to properly replace him.
Castro believes that Madrid should have done more to keep Ronaldo, saying that it is impossible to replace a man who scores 450 goals and secure 15 major trophies.
Speaking before the meeting with Real Madrid in the Champions League, Castro said: “When you have Cristiano in the team, you should never let him go. Never.”
“We are talking about the best, the most efficient footballer in the world, a machine, a sacrificial machine.” he added.
