Neymar led Brazil to a 4-2 victory over Peru in a qualifying match for the 2022 World Cup on Tuesday.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker excelled in scoring a hat-trick to help Brazil win even though they were twice at a disadvantage.
This was the second victory in as many matches for Brazil in qualifying for Qatar 2022.
With these three goals, Neymar surpassed Ronaldo and became the second best goal scorer in the history of the Brazilian national team with 64 goals in total – only behind Pele who has 77.
Peru took the lead twice, first through Andre Carillo and then thanks to Renato Tapia’s goal, but Brazil responded by equalizing the score on both occasions through Neymar first and then through Richarlison.
Neymar won another penalty in the second half and put Brazil ahead for the first time in the match, before sealing his victory later with the third goal of the match.
