Maurizio Sarri is being linked with the job of coach of Roma and Fiorentina, but there are two problems that clubs would face if they had to fire their coaches to hire the Italian.
The former Chelsea manager was sacked by Juventus this summer and Sarri still has two years on his contract with the Old Lady.
Aurelio Virgili, one of his closest friends, has told Tuttosport that his dismissal from Juve and taking another job this season would not be a problem for Sarri.
However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, there are still two problems that Fiorentina and Roma will have to face if they fire their coaches to hire the former Juventus coach.
The first is Sarri’s salary: he is in a deal of 5.5 million euros per season with the Old Lady, a fee that both clubs would not offer him.
New Roma owner Dan Friedkin is said to be ready to hire the first coach of his era, but the dismissal of Paolo Fonseca has proved difficult as the club has recently confirmed a loss of 204 million euros.
Fiorentina could not reach an economic deal with Luciano Spalletti a year ago when they sacked Vincenzo Montella to eventually bring in Beppe Iachini. Club Viola could face the same problem with Sarri.
Another problem is the Tuscan coach’s reluctance to join a new club as the season goes on.
