Agent Beto Yaque has confirmed that Lautaro Martinez has not started new contract renewal talks with Inter and the game with Leo Messi is a dream come true for the Argentine striker.
Scoring 16 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions last season, the Argentine striker was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona last summer.
“There were rumors, everyone seemed to be ready to sign it, but there was nothing concrete in the end,” Yaque told TNT.
“He has two more years in his contract with Inter and we have not sat down to talk about a renewal yet.”
Lautaro started as a starter in Argentina’s 1-0 win over Ecuador last night and the player hopes to be part of the 2022 World Cup squad.
“He made his debut in the World Cup qualifiers and was important to him.”
“Moving to Europe has helped him improve and he is well placed in the national team. For him, it is a dream to play alongside Leo Messi.” concluded Lautaro’s agent.
