Jurgen Klopp has promised Liverpool that he will not take over the management of any club in the world as soon as he leaves Anfield.
German coach Jurgen Klopp has said he will take a year off when his time at Liverpool comes to an end.
Klopp, who was appointed coach of the Reds in 2015, had stated in the past that in 2022 he would take a break from football, but in December last year he agreed to extend his contract with Liverpool until 2024.
The 53-year-old is ready to stay at Liverpool even after his contract expires but insists that no matter what happens, he will not rush to accept another job immediately when he leaves Merseyside.
“I have four more years in my contract and four years seem like eternal in football. Many things can happen during this time. “If I do not renew the contract after four years, I will go on leave,” said Klopp.
“When I leave Liverpool, I will not accept any job the next day. I say this for sure. I will take a year off after leaving Liverpool.” he added.
