Luka Modric has informed Eden Hazard that he should be 100% ready next season because otherwise, people will cross him after the first terrifying season.
After joining Zinedine Zidane’s team in 2019 from Chelsea, the Belgian has suffered a lot with injuries and made only 22 appearances in his debut edition scoring only 1 goal.
Disappointing statistics from those of a season ago, when in 52 appearances with Chelsea he scored 21 goals.
“Eden is a guy, a special player, but he played with pain and when you are on the pitch, people always expect the best from you. They do not want to know if you have problems.” Modric told AFP.
“I talked to him and I said, ‘Eden, maybe you should not play now and focus on recovery because next season you have to be at your best. This is a season where you are getting used to everything, but next season you have to be almost 100% and if not, then it will be very difficult.”
“We hope he returns without any problems and I am sure he will show the qualities he has and why the club bought him because we will need him a lot.”
