Atletico Madrid has confirmed the purchase of Geoffrey Kondogbia from Valencia, for a sum of 15 million euros.
Atletico were allowed to bring the French midfielder as an emergency substitute out of the players’ transfer window because Arsenal had paid the Thomas Partey clause on the last day of the summer transfer window in October.
The deal, under which Kondogbia will move from Mestalla to Estadio Wanda Metropolitano immediately, is worth 15 million euros.
The 24-year-old midfielder has signed a contract with Atletico until 2024.
Kondogbia will be an additional option in the midfield of Diego Simeone, which consists of stars like Koke, Saul Niguez, Marcos Llorente, Hector Herrera and Lucas Torreira.
