Pochettino and Raul, potential replacements for Zidane at Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane is in danger of being fired from the role of Real Madrid coach, as the media have begun to reveal the names that could follow him.

The Kings were defeated at home by Cadiz in La Liga, while a few days later as well as the locals were defeated by Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

These two losses seem to have weighed heavily on the club’s management, who no longer see the French coach, Zinedine Zidane, as untouchable.

Zidane with these two losses is now in danger and the next two games are said to be crucial to avoid dismissal.

However, the Spanish media have already begun to reveal the possible names of coaches who could replace the Frenchman at the Santiago Bernabeu.

According to the AS newspaper, if the Frenchman needs to be replaced, there are two clear candidates: Raul Gonzalez, who is already at the club as coach of the Castilla team, and former Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino, who fits the Madrid profile.

If Real’s poor results continue and lead to a change of coach, president Florentino Perez’s favorite option would be Raul.

It was Perez who insisted that the Los Blancos legend return to the club after his time as La Liga ambassador to the US.
