Lionel Messi has opened up about the rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo, calling it a “special duel” and hopes that CR7 will recover and play next week in the Champions League.
Cristiano Ronaldo tested positive again on Thursday and it looks like he will miss the match between Juventus and Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Of course, this will disappoint the millions of fans who hope to see them again against each other on the field, something like Leo Messi himself.
In an interview with DAZN before “El Clasicos” on Saturday, Messi had only good words for Ronaldo.
“The duel with Cristiano Ronaldo has been special, it will always be remembered,” he said. “It took many years and it is not easy to stay at those levels for long.”
