Zinedine Zidane is convinced he is the right man to lead Real Madrid, despite another shocking defeat at home on Wednesday against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League, despite the Ukrainian club missing 10 players.
Real Madrid, and in particular Zidane, have been under a lot of pressure recently, after two consecutive losses at home, against Cadiz in La Liga this weekend and now against Shakhtar in Europe.
Zidane has been heavily criticized for his tactics and selections in these two matches against the newly promoted team in La Liga and the Ukrainian one in a span of four days.
“I am able to fix this situation and I will try to do that,” said Zidane after the match.
“My players will try, too. We will seek to find solutions and we will find one. Now we have to prepare for Saturday’s match (against Barcelona).” he added.
The French coach admitted that his players are lacking self-confidence.
“We feel bad, of course. We made mistakes in the first goal and then we lacked self-confidence. In the first part where everything was missing. It was a bad night, a bad match. I am the coach and it is up to me to find a solution and I will find it tonight.”, he underlined.
