The first El Clasico this season in La Liga will be played at the Camp Nou on Saturday 24 October. This will be the first time that Zinedine Zidane and Ronald Koeman will meet as coach, after the Dutchman was appointed Barcelona coach in the summer instead of Quique Setien.
Last year the first match between Barcelona and Real Madrid ended goalless, with the Catalan giants led by Ernesto Valverde at the time.
Real and Barca have not met since March 1, when Zinedine Zidane’s side won 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu, thanks to goals from Vinicius Junior and Mariano Diaz.
Before El Clasico, Real Madrid will play against Cadiz this Saturday and against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday, October 21st.
Barca will face Getafe on Saturday, while in the Champions League they will face Ferencvaro on Tuesday, October 20th.
Barcelona is expected to return German goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, while Real hopes to have Eden Hazard in the position, even from the reserve bench.
