Memphis Depay is getting closer to moving to Barcelona this summer transfer window, following Lyon’s decision to lower his price.
The French club, hit hard financially by the pandemic, is expected to accept a smaller offer from Barcelona for the Dutch winger.
Depay has a deal with Lyon only until the end of this season, so the Ligue 1 club does not want to lose him without a penny next summer.
According to the prestigious French newspaper, L’Equipe, Lyon is open to hear offers even lower than 25 million euros for Depay, which means that Barca’s chances have increased significantly now.
He is the wish of the new Barca coach Ronald Koeman, under whose orders he played until recently in the Dutch national team.
