Bayern Munich has won the European Super Cup by beating Sevilla with more difficulty. The Bavarians had to play 120 minutes to win the European Cup
Bayern Munich has achieved victory against Sevilla by overcoming more difficulties after the additions at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary.
Sevilla were better at the start of the first half and took the lead through a questionable penalty awarded to them.
They took the lead in the 13th minute where Lucas Ocampos converted the penalty kick.
It took Bayern 11 minutes to equalize and they did it in the 34th minute with a beautiful goal by Leon Goretzkas.
The second half started much better for Bayern, even Robert Lewandowski managed to score in the 51st minute, but that goal was canceled.
But, the last minutes of the first half belonged to Sevilla, even the winners of the Europa League were very close to scoring the goal where En-Nesyri found himself face to face with Neuer but failed to score as the German goalkeeper defended his shot.
The regular match ended 1-1 and the teams went into extra time twice in 15 minutes.
Even in the first half Sevilla had some chances to score but Bayern is cynical and scores in the 104th minute through Xavi Martinez.
In the end, Bayern manages to win the UEFA Super Cup by putting in its window another trophy for this year.
