Lazio striker Ciro Immobile feels grateful he played under Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund and described the coach as a coach you can not forget.
Klopp took over Immobile at Dortmund in 2014 to replace Robert Lewandowski, who left for Bayern Munich, but the Italian striker scored just 10 goals in 34 games and left for Sevilla the following year.
He suffered again in front of the gate in Sevilla, but has revived his career since joining Lazio, scoring 103 goals in his last four Serie A seasons.
But Immobile is disappointed that things did not go well for a year under the orders of the already Liverpool manager in Dortmund.
“You can not forget someone like Klopp. I was lucky to have played under his orders. He is a very emotional trainer, someone who he fights for every ball.” said Immobile.
Asked why he failed at Dortmund, Immobile said: “I think because I joined Dortmund at an inopportune time, in terms of the team.”
