Sami Khedira is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Juventus, as his current contract expires in June 2021. However, despite this, he says he sees no reason to leave Serie A giants. The German midfielder has been part of the team from Turin since 2015, when he moved to Allianz Stadium from Real Madrid, Gazeta Express reports.
Despite the fiery race to take a place in the first formation of Juventus, the winner of the World Cup has managed to make 143 appearances for Juventus during his five seasons with the Italian club. After winning the Serie A title for four consecutive seasons, it has been suggested that he may continue his career elsewhere. However, the 33-year-old has insisted he is not considering leaving during the summer transfer window.
When asked on Instagram about his future, Khedira said: “My contract with Juventus expires in 2021. I feel very good in Italy and in the squad.”
“I have found a very good team and I am very hungry to win many more titles.”
“Now I have more confidence in my body and, for that reason, I see no reason to change the team. “I’m very happy at Juventus and at Torino.”
