Real Madrid: No one can afford Messi’s salary

Lionel Messi has been an enemy of Real Madrid for many years, but now after the statement that he wants to leave the club there have been opinions from Los Blancos.

On the one hand, there are those who think that his departure will allow Barcelona to rebuild a new project but with less flexibility in terms of finance, while some others believe that this blow will have an effect on Barcelona for some years.

There are some others at Real Madrid who think that Messi’s departure from Barcelona is not as good for Los Blancos as it sounds, for the fact that they will have an extra 100 million in their accounts, a circumstance that would help them to rebuild the squad better.

The sports factor has weight, however, and the famous burofax has brought happiness to the “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium, who are satisfied with the pain of Barcelona.

However, Real Madrid leaders do not believe that Messi’s departure from the Camp Nou is guaranteed, as they still consider any transfer to be “an impossible deal”.

At the same time, they have questioned whether there is any team that would meet the salary requirement within the UEFA limits.

They are looking for the team to make reductions in their salaries due to the consequences left by the pandemic and if Messi joins Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain, things will not be easily passed by UEFA.

UEFA cannot stop the transfer, but they can stop the teams from participating in European competitions, in this case the Champions League or the Europa League.

Both Manchester City and PSG have previously threatened to take penalties, however they have never lost court cases.

There are reports that Messi called Pep Guardiola a few days ago to discuss his condition, but the only way to go to the Etihad Stadium is for this team to sell some players so as not to exceed the salary limit of players set by UEFA.

There is no other possible solution. It is numbers and UEFA knows its position in this case.

No one at Real Madrid has thought of signing Messi.

Years ago, yes, some ways were proposed, but the goal this summer is for them to sell rather than buy.

For Real Madrid, Messi’s departure from Barcelona is like a new signing in itself.
