Juventus are preparing to sell Cristiano Ronaldo in the transfer window next summer, according to the Spanish newspaper Sport.
From his sale in 2021, the whites hope to regain most of the 100 million euros they spent to bring the Portuguese to Turin from Real Madrid in 2018.
The leaders of the Italian champion think that it is not worth risking to continue Ronaldo’s stay since he turns 36 in February.
They believe that Ronaldo can not justify the high salary even after 2021.
The Portuguese superstar has an annual salary of 31 million euros, five times higher than the second highest paid player in the team, Paulo Dybala.
The huge financial crisis caused by the pandemic is said to have an impact on Juve’s decision, as well.
Ronaldo’s contract with Juventus expires in June 2022 and Juventus thinks that by putting him on the market next summer, they can regain the 100 million euros they spent on him in 2018.
