There is no doubt, for Ronald Koeman and for almost everyone, Lionel Messi is the best player in the world.
But the Barcelona coach has not seen the best from Leo since he was appointed to the Catalans’ bench.
Koeman says Messi can do a lot more on the pitch after Barcelona’s 1-0 loss to Getafe.
“Maybe Messi’s form can be better than at the moment, but he is happy, he is training well, he is focused, he wants to play and be the team captain and he is improving. I have no complaints.” said Koeman.
“He was unlucky after the ball hit the post in the last action of the match. I have no doubt that in the next matches we will see the best from Messi.”
