Lazio president Claudio Lotito is considering Massimiliano Allegri’s return to Serie A, following in the footsteps of Simone Inzaghi on the Blues bench, as the latter has suspended contract talks.
The Lazio boss has started looking for Inzaghi’s replacement, as the latter has not yet reached an agreement to extend the contract.
Lotito has offered the current coach a three-year contract with Lazio, but the former striker, who helped Lazio return to the Champions League, has not yet made a decision on whether to renew his contract or not.
While Allegri is seen as his successor, in case Inzaghi does not renew his contract with Lazio.
Allegri wants to return to the helm of an Italian team after a one-year break.
