Ronaldo violates the quarantine, leaves for Turin

Cristiano Ronaldo has left for Turin from Portugal, violating quarantine after being tested positive while on duty with the Portuguese national team.

According to Italian media, Ronaldo will return to Turin today and will be isolated at his home.

The Italian Scientific Committee has reduced the isolation period from 14 to 10 days.

The former Real Madrid striker will miss Juventus’ next two games, against Crottone in Serie A and against Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League, but will be able to play against Verona if he tests negative, after having completed the quarantine.

The 35-year-old, however, will miss the Juve match against Barcelona on October 28 in all likelihood, as UEFA protocol requires a player to be negative at least seven days before being allowed to play in the Champions League or Europa League.
