Juventus and Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini has said that his Portuguese teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, who turned out positive on Tuesday, feels calm and is relaxing in the sun.
Juventus striker Ronaldo tested positive on Tuesday night at the Portuguese camp and will be out for two weeks as a result.
The 35-year-old has no symptoms of the virus and is following the protocol, which means he is self-isolated and cannot play for Portugal tonight against Sweden in the League of Nations.
“Cristiano is fine, he is calm and is relaxing in the sun. He will be back when he will be better.” said Chiellini when asked about Ronaldo.
The 35-year-old was also mentioned by the Portuguese coach, Fernando Santos, who said that Ronaldo wants to return to the field as soon as possible.
“He says he just wants to play.” Santos told a pre-match press conference.
