Kylian Mbappe has felt happy to have played against one of the best players of all time and childhood idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.
The French star had long ago shown that his idol is Cristiano Ronaldo, while on Sunday in the League of Nations France played against Portugal, where he had the opportunity to play against the idol.
Mbappe and Ronaldo were seen exchanging hugs and laughter at the start of the second half.
Mbappe also showed admiration for Ronaldo after the match, when he posted a photo with him on the social network Instagram where he called the Portuguese star as his “idol”. Ronaldo also commented on the photo, showing the good relations between the two.
“He was his idol. But I think Cristiano was and is the idol of many young players.” said Deschamps.
“It’s hard to compare them. Cristiano has been playing for many years at a high level. They are not the same age. I thought it would be better to compare when Kylian will be Cristiano’s age now.”
