One of the most famous moments in Premier League history has been immortalized outside the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.<\/p>\n

To mark the 10-year anniversary of Sergio Aguero’s title-clinching goal against Queens Park Rangers in 2012, Manchester City unveiled a statue of the Argentine striker celebrating his dramatic strike.<\/p>\n

“Truthfully, it is a very beautiful thing for me, to see myself 10 years ago is very moving,” Aguero said.<\/p>\n

“In those 10 years, I was able to win a lot of trophies and was able to help the club become one of the most important in the world.<\/p>\n

“I am very grateful to the club for making this statue in recognition of my football career in Manchester. It is something very special.”<\/p>\n

The statue, sculpted by U.S.-based Scottish artist Andy Scott, portrays the moment Aguero took off his shirt in celebration.<\/p>\n

Aguero’s goal three minutes into stoppage time against QPR concluded Manchester City’s dramatic comeback and sealed the club’s first-ever Premier League title. City trailed 2-1 on the final day of the season – with rivals Manchester United poised to lift the title – before roaring back to win 3-2 and capture their first top-division trophy since 1968.<\/p>\n
