{"id":2581,"date":"2021-10-26T17:54:23","date_gmt":"2021-10-26T17:54:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/footballvoyage.com\/?p=2581"},"modified":"2021-10-26T17:54:23","modified_gmt":"2021-10-26T17:54:23","slug":"report-solskjaer-to-remain-for-spurs-clash-united-officials-split-on-conte","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/footballvoyage.com\/?p=2581","title":{"rendered":"Report: Solskjaer to remain for Spurs clash, United officials split on Conte"},"content":{"rendered":"<div readability=\"49.287832310838\">\n<div readability=\"47.427914110429\">\n<p>Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will get at least one more shot to right the ship at Manchester United.<\/p>\n<p>The 48-year-old has received support from multiple club officials and will get a chance to manage the Red Devils again on Saturday against Tottenham Hotspur, according to Jamie Jackson and Fabrizio Romano of The Guardian.<\/p>\n<p>Uncertainty over his future intensified in the wake of Sunday&#8217;s humiliating 5-0 loss to Liverpool at Old Trafford, which extended Manchester United&#8217;s Premier League winless streak to four matches.<\/p>\n<p>It appears the club has followed the guidance of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who &#8211; along with chairman Ed Woodward and managing director Richard Arnold &#8211; supported Solskjaer to continue on as manager, The Guardian reports.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was ultimately made and agreed upon by Joel Glazer, the co-chairman who heads the American family\u2019s ownership. <\/p>\n<p>Continuing with Solskjaer at the helm will surprise some, but it appears that disagreements over a successor may have played a role in the decision.<\/p>\n<p>Antonio Conte is reportedly open to the idea of discussing the role at Manchester United.
