Liverpool wrote the wrong story by allowing Aston Villa to crush them 7: 2 in the Premier League, according to the Reds coach Jurgen Klopp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Reds lost 7: 2, becoming the first reigning champions to concede seven goals in a league match since Sunderland beat Arsenal 7-1 in September 1953.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ollie Watkins scored the hat-trick and Jack Grealish had a hand in five goals to help Villa cause Liverpool their fourth loss in the league since January 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It looked like we lost the ball after (Villa) took a 1-0 lead,” Klopp told BBC Sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Liverpool won the first title after 30 years last season, leaving 18 points behind rival Manchester City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But this season things have not started so well for Klopp’s team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Who wants to lose 7: 2? Years ago we told ourselves we wanted to make history. Tonight was a story, but of the wrong kind.” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
