Totti close to returning to Rome

Francesco Totti is very close to returning to Roma and according to Il Corriere dello Sport, could be as vice president or as technical director.

The Italian newspaper reports that the legend is in contact with the general manager Guido Fienga, who is working on restoring the club’s icon.

The scandal with Amadou Diawaran who donated three points to Hellas Verona, has influenced Totti to be seen as a key man for the development of the team by Firedkin Group.

Corriere dello Sport further reports that the owners prefer Totti for the role of technical director, in order to evaluate new transfers and other departures.

It is still unclear whether Totti will return as vice president or technical director, but that of course would be fantastic news for Roma fans.
