Barcelona’s 11th with Coutinho, Messi and Griezmann

New Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman did the unthinkable during the last friendly against Girona, changing the starting lineup.

For years, Barca has embraced the tried and tested 4-3-3 module.

But Koeman decided to change it on Wednesday night, placing his squad according to the aggressive 4-2-3-1 scheme.

Lionel Messi seemed determined to leave the Catalan club earlier this summer, but will stay.

Philippe Coutinho was another, on the way away, but now it seems to be the highlights of Koeman’s new system, both of which scored in the friendly 3-1 victory.
