Manchester United star Paul Pogba has responded to his biggest critic, Graeme Souness, claiming he does not know who the Liverpool legend is.
During his career as an analyst for Sky Sports and The Times, Graeme Souness has been Paul Pogbas’ most vocal critic, most recently suggesting that it is too easy to play against the World Cup winner and accusing him of not seriously recover from his injury.
When asked about Souness’s constant criticism, Pogba said he doesn’t know who he is, insisting he prefers to focus on making his own play.
“I have no idea who he is. I heard he was a great player and stuff like that. “But I don’t recognize him by his face, I just know his name.”
“As I said, I’m not someone who listens to analysts very well. I watch a lot of football, but I don’t stand behind matches to hear them talk about why it happened or not. “I like to focus on football.”
Pogba went on to criticize him in general, saying he tends not to pay attention to what others say.
“I probably miss them, I don’t know? I’m not someone who always watches the news. After the matches, I review the matches and not the comments. “When I know about football, you don’t need anyone else to tell you what’s going on.”
“Of course I hear people saying that Paul is doing this… Paul… Paul… I don’t know. One day I will criticize them and ask them because I really don’t understand why this is happening. I’m recovering from the injury and I can be somewhere else and hear things, but I’m just recovering, you know? “
“If they want to talk, they have the right to do it, it’s their job to talk. I’m used to it already, it doesn’t bother me. It’s nice to hear good things instead of bad things, but when you play football, you know yourself. What matters is what the coach and his teammates want, the others are just words.
