Allegri meets the owners of Rome

Reports in Italy indicate that Max Allegri has met with Dan and Ryan Friedkin, so he is the favorite to take over as coach if Paulo Fonseca resigns.

The former coach of Milan and Juventus has had a face-to-face meeting with the owners of the club this week.

He had previously been reserved with the idea of joining Rome, but now seems to be open to this possibility.

Allegri has won the Scudetto with both Milan and Juventus, winning the title five times in a row with the Torino team before being fired.

He did not work last season, with one year left on his black and white contract.

Roma decided to take Fonseca after the team was taken over by the group “The Friedkin” from James Pallotta in September.

There are reports that they will be joined by Ralf Rangnick, either as a sporting director or in the role of coach.
